Anxiety Cat
The Anxiety Cat project is one of the strangest, most exciting things I’ve ever worked on - the culmination of 4 years of work and hundreds of songs, all distilled into 8 tracks about reality-shifting events in recent human history. "THE END OF REALITY AS WE KNOW IT" is a walk through post-reality Reality made through a hodge-podge of varying genres and instrumentation. It contains repurposed audio propaganda from authoritarian leaders like Muammar Gaddafi, Donald Trump, and Vladimir Putin, classical string waltzes, Shellac-inspired post-punk, industrial bleep-bloops, United Nations reports, nationalistic gospel, and much more, all converted into 8 terrifying and (hopefully) beautiful songs.
The album comes with multiple versions of cover art, each designed to fit with a specific song.
You can order it through Bandcamp.
I’m really excited to share it with you.

The Taxpayers
The Taxpayers are a DIY punk band that incorporates a variety of instruments and styles that started in 2007 or so. The Taxpayers have made dozens of albums, been on dozens of tours, been on the cover of magazines, created music festivals, and had songs featured as the themes of various podcasts. A musical stage show of the album / book / story "God, Forgive These Bastards" was made in 2018 by the Philadelphia Theater Troupe "The Hum'n'bards". The Taxpayers have been called, “the most ambitious and experimental of all DIY punk bands”, “astonishing in scope”, and a band that “was pretty good until they started getting naked on stage and singing Jimmy Buffet songs”.
“The Taxpayers are everything modern punk should be – a merging of chaos, melody, and intelligent lyricism that recklessly claws at divinity. This is how good punk can be and this is how good punk should be. The Taxpayers deserve not only to be heard, but to be respected.” - Dying Scene

God, Forgive These Bastards (Book)
“God, Forgive These Bastards” is a collection of stories about the life of Henry Turner, a semi-fictional character who was alternately an aspiring major league pitcher, an abusive alcoholic murderer, an adventurer, a homeless schizophrenic, and finally, a captivating storyteller. I dreamed up his life while living in a shipping container unit while on tour with the Taxpayers in 2011. We went on to write an album of songs about his life, which was coupled with this book that was published by Microcosm Publishing. The story would later go on to be adapted as a musical stage show by the Hum’n’bards Theater Troupe in Philadelphia. The book has been called, “among the all time greats in punk literature”. It was translated into Spanish by Adrian Zamora.

The Trusty Snakes
The Trusty Snakes are a country band made up of members of the Taxpayers. The debut album, "New American Frontier" picks up the pieces of America in the aftermath of the 2016 election with songs about the ties that still bind us - love, heartbreak, fear, and fishing.
“I’d rather listen to the Trusty Snakes than the Boss…(New American Frontier) seeks to understand the hearts of characters the authors don’t always respect…one of the year’s best albums.” - Free Music Empire

Negation
Negation was a short lived avant garde punk band in New Orleans made up of Rob, Osa, and Benji. We put out one album on tape, played some shows in abandoned strip malls, and called it quits. I played the drums, Osa played the bass, and Benji played the guitar. Everybody sang.
“Stripped down, occasionally disjointed, pure punk…complete with an undertone of political and social frustrations.” - Afropunk.com

Atomic Butter Babes
The Atomic Butter Babes are a nautical, sexy, and dangerous punk band that roams the seven seas in search of truth. Sailing aboard their beloved ship, The Dutch Uncle, they have encountered beautiful manatees, played underwater basketball, battled vampire squid, and found love in all the wrong places. Some say that their nautically-themed songs are mere sexual euphemisms. Those people are wrong. Others say that they are too old to be doing this. Those people are jerks.
"These poppy but aggressive nautical themed songs sometimes leave you wondering if they had actually practiced them before recording." - Pete, Maximum Rock and Roll
