ANXIETY CAT is one of the strangest things I’ve ever worked on. It’s a hodge-podge of genres and instrumentation, the culmination of 4 years of experimentation and hundreds of songs, all distilled into 8 tracks about reality-shifting events in recent human history. It incorporates propaganda from Gaddafi, Putin, and Trump, dissects United Nations Reports, repurposes devotional gospel songs, and inverts insurance advertisements, pinballing from post-punk to warped jazz to industrial bleep-bloops to piano-pop and classical string waltzes.
